More Travel Tips
Not to dwell on the subject, but when you find good tips its hard not to pass them along (thanks to Robyn for forwarding this!). - Email yourself and someone at home a copy of your travel documents including itineraries, passport, and visas.
- Check recent public announcements about regulations. Americans click here. Canadians click here.
- Don't check bags if you can avoid it. This is tough if you are on an overnight trip and have to pack a toiletry kit. I had an unhappy woman behind me in line at security last week find this out the hard way when she had to part with several bottles of perfume.

- Dress down to avoid the aggravation of taking your stuff off anyways (yet another occasion to wear yoga pants!).
- Avoid skirts in case you run into those new "puffer" bomb detection devices that will put you in a Marilyn Monroe snapshot.
- Don't be afraid to ask for more water.
This last one is a bit touchy, since I am a 'gallon of water-a-flight' kind of girl. I miss being able to bring water on the plane, and as recent studies have shown, that airplane tap water isn't exactly the healthiest! I recently read a good tip to get around this: head back to the galley and ask for a can of soda water when you get thirsty. It might be bubbly but at least you know it won't have e-coli...
